Unstuck Strategy is a project a space to explore thoughts and ideas in the Canadian policy space that are untethered from organizational constraints and perspectives. The name of the project is inspired by Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse Five. The central character, Billy Pilgrim, has become “unstuck in time” meaning that he no longer experiences time in a linear fashion. The goal of the project is to eschew constraints on thoughts or solutions to see challenges from a new perspective. On this site I’ll be sharing data-focused . My background is largely infrastructure and local government policy. I expect any analysis will lean in that direction, but I may deviate to look into other areas of interest.
There will be one simple caveat provided on all analysis:
This is a space of thought exploration. Data analysis will not be rigorously tested. It may be refined as time goes on, but it should not be used for decision-making without careful examination. A such, I will also endeavour at transparency and post my code so that others can recreate or recommend improvements.
